Who is he ?

       Sabeer Bhatia is an Indian American entrepreneur who Founded the Hotmail email service and Jaxtr.

 

Some Info

       Sabeer Bhatia was born in Chandigarh on 30December 1968. He grew up in Bangalore and had his early education at The Bishop's School in Pune, then St. Joseph's Boys' High School in Bangalore. In 1988 he went to US to get a bachelor's degree at the California Institute of Technology after a foreign transfer from BITS Pilani, Rajasthan. He earned a master's degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He actually joined the PhD. programme at Stanford University, but was unable to complete it.

 

Why I am writing about him?

• HTML – the language used to write the base of a webpage was created when Hotmail’s uppercase letters spelled HTML.
• Today, HTML is used in all webpages thanks to Sabeer Bhatia who founded the hotmail, the first free emailing services. 
• He sold off Hotmail to Microsoft for USD 400 million. 
• In 1998, Bhatia was awarded the “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Draper Fisher Jurvertson and was noted by TIME as one of the “People to Watch” in international business in 2002.

Why he is indeprensus?

• Not really, he was well known among youth but later he did not remain in the light.
• Hotmail ... really !!! Many of you use gmail or rediff right. But I am using it for many years now. Checkout new Outlook.com ... its really cool.
• We don't find who invented technology ... we just use it !
