Downton Abbey is a British period drama television series created by Julian Fellowes and co-produced by Carnival Films and Masterpiece.It first aired on ITV in the United Kingdom on 26 September 2010 and on PBS in the United States on 9 January 2011 as part of the Masterpiece Classic anthology.
Beginning in the years leading up to World War I, the drama centers on the Crawley family and their servants.

Why I liked it ?
Excellent cinematography & dress ups. It actually feels like to be in the world war period and we get attached to the characters.

Why it is an Indeprensus ?
- It is UK based series not US based.
- Delayed premiere in other countries.
- Though it is a masterpiece, it is not action based or comedy type.( Though it covers almost everything that need to be in any drama, but with its own way !!!)
- Nobody (except me ;D) wants to see old/history typed tv shows unless there are sex scenes in it.
